NUCLEOLUS

Nucleolus is the region inside a nucleus where the genes encoding three of four ribosomal RNA (28S, 18S 5,8S) are located. Dense fibrous central zone of a nucleolus contains DNA-protein complexes. The transcription of genes of ribosomal RNA takes place here.
