NONCOMPETITIVE INHIBITOR

Noncompetitive inhibitors make one of the types of reversible inhibitors. This is a molecule, which is bonded not with the active centre, but with some other region of a ferment. Bonding with a noncompetitive inhibitor does not prevent an inhibitor from forming a ferment-substrate complex; this inhibitor does not reduce concentration of such complexes, but influences transformation the substrate into the product. The mechanism of inhibition consists of decreasing of the rate, with which the substrate of the ferment-substrate complex turns into product.
