FMN

Flavine mononucleotide (FMN, riboflavin phosphate) is a coenzyme of dehydrogenases (enzymes from oxidoreductase family), which catalyze most important oxidation-reduction reactions. FMN is synthesized from unbound riboflavin (vitamin B2) and ATP with the participation of the enzyme flavokinase. FMN is a predecessor of another flavine coenzyme, FAD (flavine adenine dinucleotide).
