FAD

Flavine adenine dinucleotide (FAD, riboflavin-5'-adenosine diphosphate) is a coenzyme of dehydrogenases (enzymes from oxidoreductase family), which catalyze most important oxidation-reduction reactions. A FAD molecule consists of adenosine-5'-phosphate and FMN. A FAD molecule is synthesized from FMN and ATP with the enzyme adenylyltransferase.
